ORDINANCE NO. NS-111 DECLARING THE ANIIEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SPURGEON MEMORIAL ANNEX" WhJh~EAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did on May 2, 1955, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited ter- ritory by Resolution No. 55-117, which said Resolution was regularly published as required by law, and which said Resolution gave due no- tice of public hearing to be held on June 20, 1955; and WHEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections or protests to said proposed annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said territor~y was wholly uninhabited at the time the petition for annexation was filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha, California; that written consent of all the owners was filed with the Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, agree- ing that all property within said territory shall be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to or existing at the time of annexation and that said property shall be so taxed. SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 13, Potts, Borden and Stdwell Tract, as per map thereof recorded in Book 4, Page 624, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, Cali- fornia, said Southwest corner being on the center line of Memory Lane, said point also ~eing on the Northerly gity Limit line of the City of Sauta Ana, running thence East 362.43 feet along the said center line and the City Limit line to the South- west corner of Tract 2089, as per map thereof recorded in Book 60, Pages 6 and 7, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Ora~e County, California, said point being an angle point in the City Limit line; thence North 0° 03' ~5" West 660.97 feet along the West- erly line of said Tract 2069 and the Westerly City Limit line to the Northwest corner of said Tract 2089, said corner being on an angle point in the City Limit line of the City of Santa Aha, said point also being on the North llne of the South half of said Lot 13; thence leaving the City Limit line of the City of Santa Ana North 89° 59' 55" West 362.43 feet along the said North line of the South half of Lot 13 to a point in the West line of said Lot 13; thence South 0° 03' 45" East 660.98 feet along the West line of said Lot 13.to the point of beginning.
