ORDINANCE NO. N$-10o REQUIRING PARALLEL PARKING ON ALL <br />PUBLIC STREETS IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA BY AMENDING SECTION <br />3212 OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE AND BY ADDING NEW SECTION <br />THERETO <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That Section 3212 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "SECTION 3212. Parallel Parking Required. <br /> <br /> No person shall stand or park any vehicle on any public <br /> street in the City other than with the right-hand wheels of such <br /> vehicle parallel with and within 18 inches of the right-hand <br /> curb except where said street has been designated as a one-way <br /> street and signs, giving notice of the fact that vehicles thereon <br /> are required to move in one specified direction only, have been <br /> posted at all entrances to said street, when a person may stand <br /> or park a vehicle with the left-handwheels parallel with and <br /> within 18 inches of the left~xand curb of said street. This <br /> Section shall be subject to the exceptions contained in Section <br /> 588 of the Vehicle Code of California." <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. That a new Section is hereby added to the Santa Aha <br />Municipal Code Immediately following Section 3212 in words and figures <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> "SECTION 3212.1. No Parking over Stall Lines. <br /> <br /> No person shall stand or park any vehicle on any public street <br /> in the City where the surface of said street has been marked with <br /> w~ite lines designating parking spaces or stalls so that said <br /> vehicle is across or upon any such line, or in such a position <br /> that said vehicle is not entirely within the area designated by <br /> such lines as a parking space or stall." <br /> <br /> SECTION 3- All Ordinances and Resolutions in conflict herewith <br />are hereby repealed and rescinded in so far as such conflict exists. <br /> <br /> <br />
