ORDINANCE NO. NS-189 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF <br />THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "ELKS ANNEX'~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did on <br />May 21, 1956 declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited <br />territory by Resolution No. ~6-1~3, which said Resolution was <br />regularly published as required by law, and which said Resolution <br /> <br /> due notice of public hearing to be held on June 18, 19~6; <br /> <br />gave <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at said hearinE there were no objections or protests <br />to said proposed annexation; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, 2~HE CITY COUNCIL OF ~{E CITy OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was <br />no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that <br />due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said <br />territory was wholly uninhabited at the time the petition for annex- <br />ation was filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of <br />Santa Aha, California; that written consent of all the owners was <br />filed with the Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this <br />Ordinance, aEreeing that all property within said territory shall <br />be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City con- <br />tracted prior to or existing at the time of annexation and that said <br />property shall be so taxed. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County <br />of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> That portion of Lot "A" of the Stafford and Tustin Tract, <br /> as shown on a ~ap recorded in Book 2, page 618 of Ntscel- <br /> laneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, described <br /> <br /> Beginning at an angle point on the existing City boundary <br /> line of the City of Santa Ana, said angle point being 10.00 <br /> feet Westerly from the monumented center line of Lyon <br /> Street and 58.00 feet Southerly from the center line of <br /> First Street; and runnin~ thence North 89° 07' 30" East <br /> along said City boundary-line, which is ~8.00 feet Southerly <br /> from and parallel with the center line of First Street, <br /> 33~.39 feet, more or less, to an angle point in said City <br /> boundary line; thence South 0° 14' So" East along said <br /> City boundarGr line 121~.7~ feet to an angle point in said <br /> <br /> <br />
