ORDINANCE NO. NS-214 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE CREATING CHANGES IN DIS- <br />TRICT BOUNDARIES, AND AMENDING S~HK~:L' NO. 12 OF THE <br />DISTRICTING MAP TO SHOW TEE I%ECIASSIFICATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of Santa Ana has given notice of <br /> <br />and duly held a public hearing in connection with Amendment Application <br /> <br />No. 201 for change of District Classification, and recommended to the City <br /> <br />Council the change requested; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council gave due notice of and regularly held a <br /> <br />public hearing on said application and does now find that public necessity, <br /> <br />convenience and general welfare require the following amendment and that the <br /> <br />uses under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding <br /> <br />property, <br /> <br />NOW~ THEREFO~E~ THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of <br /> <br />Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />That portion of the land allotted to Abel Stearns, in decree of <br />partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, recorded in book <br />B of Judgments of the 17th Judicial District Court of California, <br />including a portion of Lot ll of Potts, Borden Sidwell Tract, as <br />per map recorded in book 4 page 624 of Miscellaneous Records, in <br />the office of the county recorder of Los Angeles County, California, <br />located in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of <br />California, described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point on the center line of Main Street, Northerly <br />662.31 feet from the northeast corner of Section l, Township 5 <br />South, Range l0 West, in said Rancho, being the northeast corner <br />of the land conveyed to J. Clifford Johnston, et al, by deed re- <br />corded July 13, 1943, in book 1195 page 567 of Official Records; <br />thence Westerly 1618.57 feet along the northerly line of Johnston <br />land to the northeasterly line of the land described in deed to the <br />State of California, recorded August 6, 1954~ in book 2786 page 270 <br />of Official Records; thence northwesterly along said northeasterly <br />line to a line parallel with and westerly 1646.70 feet from said <br />center line of M~in Street; thence Northerly 624.90 feet, more or <br />less, along said parallel line to the South line of the land con- <br />veyed to Thomas M. Shaffer, by deed recorded February ll, 1874, <br />in book 29 page 30 of Deeds, records of said Los Angeles County; <br />thence Easterly 326.70 feet, more or less, along said South line <br />to the Westerly line of the land described in deed to Bullocks, <br />Inc., by deed recorded June l, 1956, in book 3530 page 486 of <br />Official Records; thence Northerly 660.00 feet along the westerly <br />line of said Bullocks land to the South line of Tract No. 2h62, <br />as per map recorded in book 67 pages 43 and 44 of Miscellaneous <br />Maps; thence Easterly 1320.00 feet, more or less, along said South <br />line to the center line of Main Street; thence Southerly along <br />said center line of Main Street to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />EXCEPT the Easterly 33.00 feet thereof, included within Main Street, <br /> <br /> <br />
