ORDINANCE NO. NS-290 A~ENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA ANA MUNIC-~0DE CREATING CHANGES IN DISTRICT BOUNDARIES, AND AMENDING SItEET NO. ~$ OF T~E DISTRICT- ING MAP TO SHOW THE HECLASSI~ICATION WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of Santa Ana has given notice of and duly held a public hearing in connection with Amendment Appli- cation No. 231 for Cha~ge of District Classification, and recommended to the City Council the changes requested; and WHEREAS, the City Council gave due notice of and regularly held a public hearing on said application and does now find that public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following amend- ment and that the uses under the new classification will not be detri- mental to the sur~ounding p~operty; NOW, ~HEREFORE, TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the real property in the City Of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: The easterly 125 feet of the following described property: Commencing at a point 21-67/96 rods north from the northeast corner of a certain five-acre tract of land conveyed by deed from D. H. Samis to W. C. McClay in 1874, said five-acre tract being the southeasterly portion of that lot qf land known as the "Samis Tract", running thence west 73-11/13 .rods to land of D. H. Samis; thence south 21-67/96 rods to land of W. C. McClay; thence east algng ~aid McClay's north line 73-11/13 rods; thence north 21-b7/9b rods to the point of beginning. EXCEPTING therefrom that portion of said land conveyed to the California Central R~lway Company by deed recorded July 30, 1887, in Book 271, Page ll2 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, Califo~nia. ALSO EXCEPTING therefrom the following: Beginning at apolnt 21-67/96 rods north from the northeast corner of that certain t ~act of land conveyed by deed from D. H. Samis to W. C. McClay, ~ecorded February l, 1875, in Book 36, Page 51 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, Califomia; thence south along the center line of McCl~y Street to a point in the northeasterly right-of-ws~ line of the California Central Rail- way (now Atchison, Topeka m d Sa~ ta Fe Railway), as shown by deed reco~-ded in Book 271, page 1~2 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles. County, California; thence northwesterly along said right-of-wa~ line to a point in the north line of that certain parcel of land conveyed to J. D. Foster on August 28, 1885, by deed recorded in Book 67, Page 355 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence east along said north line to the point of beginning~
