ORDINANCE NO. NS-293AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE S~TA ANA <br />~,~UNICIPAL CODE CREATING CHANGES IN DISTRICT BOUNDARIES, <br />AI~D AMENDING SHEET NO. <br />44 OF THE DISTRICTING MAP TO SHOW <br />THE RECLASSIFICATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Co~mmission of Santa Ana has given notice <br /> <br />of and duly held a public hearing in connection with Amendment Appli- <br />cation No. 232 for Change of District Classification, and recommended <br />denial of the request; and <br /> <br /> WHEP~EAS, the City Council gave due notice of and regularly held <br /> <br />a public hearing on said application, determined that said request <br />should be granted and does now find that public necessity, convenience <br />and general welfare require the following ~mendment and that the uses <br />under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding <br />property; <br /> <br /> NOW, TPU~REFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point in the center line of Chestnut Avenue, <br /> said point being 828.13 feet East of the intersection of the <br /> center line of Chestnut Avenue with the ~est line of Section <br /> Seventeen, Township Five South, Range Nine West, S.B.B. & M.; <br /> said point of intersection being 65 rods South of the North- <br /> west corner of said. Section Seventeen; running thence South <br /> parallel to the West line of said Section Seventeen, ~36.25 <br /> feet; thence East parallel to the said center line of Chestnut <br /> Avenue, 807.72 feet; thence North 536.2~ feet to the Easterly exten- <br /> .~on of the center line of said Chestnut Avenue; thence West along <br /> said center line of Chestnut Lvenue, 807.57 feet to the point of <br /> beginning, <br /> EXCEPTING therefrom that portion included within Lyon Street, <br /> <br />be reclassified from the R-1 District to the C-2 District, and that <br />Sheet No. 44 of the Districting Map of Article IX of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code be amended to show such reclassification. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2.
