ORDINANCE NO. NS-307 <br />BUILDING CODE <br /> <br />TO AMEND SECTION <br /> <br />3302 OF THE UNIFORM <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That Section 3302 of the Uniform Building Code, <br /> <br />1955 edition, adopted by Ordinance NS-147, is hereby amended by add- <br /> <br />ing a new Section 8112.1 to the Santa Ana Municipal Code to read as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />SECTION 8112.1. Occupancy Load. <br /> <br />Section 3302 of said Uniform Code is amended to read as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br /> (a) Number of Persons. The number of persons permitted <br />in any buil~g or portion thereof shall not exceed those <br />set forth in TaBle No. 33-A, except that where additional <br />exit facilities are provided the occupancy load may be in- <br />creased in accordance with Section 3302 (b) and (c). <br /> <br /> (b) Number of Exits. Buildings, or portions thereof, <br />having an occupant load '~'f more than 50 shall have not less <br />than two exits. <br /> Buildings, or portions thereof, having an occupant load <br />of 500 to 999 shall have not less than three exits. <br /> Buildings, or portions thereof, having an occupant load <br />of 1000 or more shall have not less than four exits. <br /> Basements or cellars used for other than service of the <br />building, shall have not less than two exits. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and <br /> <br />after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br /> <br />at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of February , 1958~ <br /> ~*AT TW.
