ORDINANCE NO. NS-316 ESTABLISHING PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS ON <br />SULLIVAN STREET BETWEEN FIRST STREET iAND FAIRVIEW AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic investigation of vehicular <br /> <br />traffic on Sullivan Street as hereinbelow set out, indicates that the <br /> <br />prima facie speed limit established by the Ve~icle Code of California <br /> <br />should be altered to provide for orderl~ expeditious and safe traffic <br /> <br />movement in said areas, and similar investigations on said street <br /> <br />conducted by the County of 0rauge compelled a similar conclusion, and <br /> <br />a recommendation of the establishment of a 40 miles per hour speed <br /> <br />limit; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, ~HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ~A DOES <br /> <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. _That Section 3280 of the Sm ta Aha Municipal Code <br /> <br />is hereby amended by adding a new paragraph at the end thereof to be <br /> <br />designated "(r)", in words and figures as follows: <br /> <br />"(r) No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed <br />greater than 40 miles per hour on Sullivan Street <br />between First Street arzl Fail-view Avenue." <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
