ORDI~NCE NO. NS-358 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF THAT
<br />CERTAIN TERRiTOR-~SIGNATED, "I~EMORY LANE Ai~D RIVER

<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did, on
<br />
<br />November 17, 1958, declare its intention to annex certain uninhab-
<br />
<br />itated territory by Resolution No. 58-289, which said Resolution
<br />
<br />was regularly published as required by law, and gave due notice of
<br />
<br />a public hearing to be held on January 5, 1959, which said hearing,
<br />
<br />after due notice as required by law, was regularly held.
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
<br />
<br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br />SECTION 1. That after due hearing it finds that there was
<br />
<br />no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described,
<br />
<br />that due notice of the time and place of hearing was given, that
<br />
<br />said territory was uninhabited at the time the petition for annexa-
<br />
<br />tion was filed, that said territory' is contiguous to the City of
<br />
<br />Santa Aha, s~d that said territory shall not be taxed to pay any
<br />
<br />indebtedness of the City existing st the time of this annexation.
<br />
<br />SECTION 2. That all of the territory situ~ted in the County
<br />
<br />of Orange, State of California, described as:
<br />
<br />All that portion of the Northeast quarter of Section 2,
<br />Township 5 South, Range l0 West, in the Rancho Las Boleas in
<br />unincorporated territory of the County of Orange, State of
<br />California, all as shown on the map recorded in Book 15 at
<br />Pag~ 40, Records of Survey of said Orange County, more part-
<br />icularly described as follows, to-wit:

<br />Beginning at an angle point in the ~oundary of the City of
<br />Santa Aha as same existed October 24, 1958, said point being
<br />also the southwest corner of Lot 28 of Potts, Borden and
<br />Sidwell Tract per map thereof recorded in Book 4 at Page
<br />Hiscellaneous Records of Los AnEeles County, California;
<br />thence, along the westerly boundary of the City oF Santa Aha,
<br />South 22° 27' 30" West lbb2.38 feet; thence, South 27° 42' 3o"
<br />West to a point in the easterly prolongation of the northerly
<br />right of way line of Trask Avenue, 40 feet wide; thence,
<br />leaving said westerly boundary of the City of Santa Ana,
<br />along said easterly prolongation a~d the northerly right of
<br />way line of Trask Avenue, South 89 47' 50" West to a point
<br />in the westerly line of that certain parcel of land desig-
<br />nated ~D. 406-185" on aforementioned map recorded in Boo~
<br />15 at Page 40, Records of Survey; thence, along last said
<br />westerly line, North 25° 40' East to an angle point therein;
<br />thence, North 37° 42, 44" East 492.97 feet, more or less, to
<br />the most northerly corner of said parcel designated "D. 406-
<br />185", said point being also in the southerly prolongation of
<br />the easterly boundary of Tract No. 2_2~ as s~ne is shown on
<br />a map recorded in Book 107 at Page 48, ~iscellaneous Maps of
<br />said Orange County; thence, along said southerly prolongation
