The Clerk of the Council is hereby author- <br />ized to find and appoint substitutes for sny election officer named <br />in said document who is unable or unwilling to act. <br /> <br /> Precinct officers shall receive the following compensation: <br />Each inspector, ~21.00, and each judge, ~18.00, for their work as <br />such officers; owners of privately oWned polling places shall re- <br />ceive the sum of !~9.00 for the use of each polling place. <br /> <br /> SECTION 4' Said election shall be held and conducted in <br />accordance with the laws regulating municipal elections, the elec- <br />tion code of the State of California insofar as the same are appli- <br />cable to this election, and the Annexation Act of 1913. The polls <br />shall be open at .. ? A.~.~. on the day of said election, and shall <br />be kept open until ? P.N. of said day, at which time the polle <br />shall be closed. <br /> <br /> SECTION 5. The Clerk of the Council shall cause to be pub- <br />lished a NOTICE OF ELECTION at least once a week for four weeks <br />prior to March 10, 1959, in a newspaper of general circulation <br />printed snd published outside of the City of Santa Ana, but in <br />the County of Orange, and a NOTICE OF ELECTION OP~'ICERS AND POLLING <br />PLACES shall be published~kla-'~e~t least a week apart, the ~ast. i <br />publication to be completed prior to March $, 1~59, in a newspaper <br />meeting the requirements set out above. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6.
