ORDINANCE NO. NS ~l DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF <br />THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "TRASK AND LAIRD <br />N. E. ANNEX" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did on <br /> <br />December 7, 19~9, adopt Resolution No. ~9-306 acknowledging the <br /> <br />receipt of a petition for annexation of certain territory signed <br /> <br />by the owners of more than one-fourth of the land in the territory <br /> <br />which was requested in said petition to be annexed to the City of <br /> <br />Santa Ana, California, which said Resolution was regularly published <br /> <br />as required by law, and gave notice of a public hearing to be held <br /> <br />January 18, 1960, which said hearing was regularly held; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That after due hearing it finds that there was <br /> <br />no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described; <br /> <br />that due notice of t~e time and place of hearing was given; that <br /> <br />said territory was uninhabited at the time said petition was filed, <br /> <br />and that said territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness <br /> <br />of the City existing at the time of this annexation. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County <br /> <br />of Orange, State of California and described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at an angle point in t he City boundary of the <br />City of S~ta Ana, California, said angle point being a <br />point on a line which is parallel with and 20.00 feet <br />n~rtherly, measured at right angles fr~n the center line <br />of Trask ~venue, said point being 739.95 feet westerly, <br />measured along said parallel line and its easterly exten- <br />sion, from the westerly line of the Rancho Santiago De <br />Santa Ana; said point being on the westerly line of that <br />certain parcel of land designated "D 406-1~5'' on a map <br />recorded in Book 15 at Page 40, Records of Survey of Orauge <br />County, California; thence North 25o 40, East along said <br />westerly line and along said City boundary 1~6.77 feet <br />more or less to an angle point therein; thence North 37° <br />42' 4~" East along said City boundary 492.97 feet more or <br />less to the most northerly corner of said parcel designated <br />"D 406-185" to au angle point in said City boundary, said <br />corner being on the southerly prolongation of the easterly <br />boundary of Tract No. 2~18, as shown on a map thereof re- <br />corded in Book 88, Pages 44, 4~, 46, 4?, Niscellaneous <br />Maps, Records of said Orange County; thence northerly along <br />said southerly prolongation a nd along said City boundary <br />to t~e South line of the North half (N 1/2) of the south- <br />east quarter (SE$) of the northwest quarter (~NW~) of Section <br />2, Township 5 South, R~ ge l0 West, San Bernardino Base and <br /> <br /> <br />
