SECTION 2. The proposition to be presented to the electors <br />and to be printed upon the ballots used at said election shall be <br /> <br />in the <br /> <br />following words: <br /> <br />Shall the territory designated and ( <br />known as "South Sas ts Aha Annex No. ( YES , ) <br />2" be annexed to the City of Santa ( NO ' ) <br />&ua? ( , ) <br /> <br /> SECTION 3. The precinct boards <br />and two judges for each polling place. <br /> <br />shall consist of one inspector <br /> <br />The precincts shall be those <br /> <br />determined by the City Council by Resolution, and sh~l consist of <br />one or more regular voting precincts or portions thereof, and the <br />voting place or places shall be such as is commonly used for voting <br />within the territory, if there be any such place or places within <br />the territory herein described. The election officers shall be thee <br />nmned in the "NOTICE OF ELECTTON OFFICERS AND POLLING PLACES" to be <br />declared as to form by the City Council. The Clerk of the Council ~ <br />hereby authorized to find and appoint substitutes for any election <br />officer named who is unable or unwilling to act. <br /> <br /> SECTION 4. Precinct officers shall receive the following com- <br />pensation: Each inspector, $21.00, aud each judge, ~18.00, for their <br />work as such officers, and owners of privately owned polling places <br />shall receive the sum of ~9.00 for the use of each polling place. <br /> <br /> SEC~TION ~. Said election shall be held and conducted in accord- <br />ance with the statutes regulating municipal elections, the Election <br />Code of the State of California, insofar as the same is applicable to <br />this election, and the Annexation Act of 1913. The polls shall be <br />open from ? A.M. until 7 P.M. on the day of said election and the polls <br />shall be closed at 7 P.M. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6. The C~rk of the Couucil shall cause a NOTICE OF <br />ELECTION and a NOTICE OF ELECTION OFFICERE ~TD POLLING PLACES to be <br />published once each ~veek for four weeks prior to April 26, 1960, in <br />a newspaper of general circulation p~inted and published outside the <br />City of Santa Ana, but in the County of Orange. <br /> <br />-7- <br /> <br /> <br />
