SECTION 2. The proposition to be presented to the electors <br />and to be printed upon the ballots used at said election shall be <br />in the following words: <br /> <br /> Shall the territory designated ( ~ES ' ) <br /> and known as "Berrydale and Trask ( ' ) <br /> N. E. Annex" be annexed to the ( NO ' ) <br /> City of Santa Ana? ( , ) <br /> <br /> SECTION 3. The precinct boards shall consist of one <br /> <br />and two judges for each polling place. The precincts shall be those <br />determined by the City Council by Resolution and shall consist of <br />one or more regular voting precincts or portions thereof, and the <br />voting place o~ places shall be such as is commonly used for voting <br />witain the territory, if there be any such place or places within <br />the territory herein described. The election officers shall be <br />those named in the "NOTICE OF ELECTION OFFICERS AND PO~itNG PLACES" <br />to be declared as to form by the City Council. The Clerk of the <br />Council is hereby authorized to find and appoint substitutes for <br />any election officer named who is unable or unwilling to act. <br /> <br /> SECTION 4' Precinct officers shall receive the following <br />compensation: Each inspector, ~21.00, ~d each judge, ~18.00, for <br />their work as such officers, and owners of privately owned polling <br />places shall r~ceive the sum of ~!~9.00 for the use of each polling <br /> <br />place. <br /> <br /> SECTION ~. <br />accordance with <br />Election Code of <br /> <br />inspector <br /> <br /> Said election shall be held and conducted in <br /> the statutes regulating municipal elections, the <br /> <br /> the State of California, insofar as the same is <br />applicable to this election, and the Annexation Act of 1913. The <br />poll shall be open from 7 A.M. until 7 P.M. on the day of said <br />election and the polls sh~21 be closed at 7 P.M. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6. The Clerk of the Council shall cause a NOTICE OF <br />ELECTION and a NOTICE OF ELECTION OFFICERS AND POLLING PLACES to be <br />published once each week for four weeks prior to May 10, 1960, in a <br />newspaper of general circulation printed and published outside the <br />City of Santa Aha, but in the County of Orange. <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
