ORDINANCE NO. NS-454 REGULATING AND LICENSING TAXICABS, MOTOR BUSES, AMBULANCES, AND THE DRIVERS THEREOF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0F SANTA ANA DOES FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. %1~at Santa Aha Municipal Code ORDAIN AS Part 8 of Chapter 3, Article VI, of the is hereby amended to read as follows: "PART 8 - Ambulances, Motor Buses and Taxicabs. "Section 6380. Definitions. The following words and phrases when used in this Part have the meanings set forth herein: (a) AMBULANCE is any privately owned vehicle equipped or used for transporting the wounded, injured, sick or dead, and shall include, but not be limited to, emergency vehicles used for such purposes. (b) CERTIFICATE means a certificate of public convenience and necessity issued by the City authorizing the holder thereof to conduct an ambulance, motor bus or taxicab business in the City. (c) CRUISING means the driving of a taxicab on the streets or public places of t~e City in search of or soliciting pros- pective passengers for hire. (d) DRIVER means the person in actual charge or control of any ambulance, motor bus or taxicab as the driver thereof. (e) MANIFEST means a daily record p~epared by the driver or the management office of all trips made by any ambulance or taxi- cab showing the date and place of origin, destination, number of passengers, and the amount of the charge to each passenger. (f) MOTOR BUS includes every motor vehicle used in the business of carrying passengers for hire which receives and dis- charges passengers along t he fixed route traversed by it, but shall not include a taxicab, sigatseers, or hotel bus, or any inter-City bus regulated by the Public Utilities Commission. (g) OWEEH includes every person, corporation, or other business organization controling any ambulance, motor bus or taxicab Within the City.
