ORDINANCE NO. NS-~8 DECLARING THE ~NNEXATION OF <br />THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "TUSTIN AND <br />SEVENTEENTH N. E. ANNEX" <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did, on <br />August l, 1960, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited <br />territory by Resolution No. 60-145, which said Resolution was regu- <br />larly published as required by law, and gave due notice of a public <br />hearing to be held September 19, 1960, which said hearing was regu- <br />larly held on said notice and on mailed notices as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That after due hearing it finds that protest has <br />not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the territory <br />as shown on the last equalized assessment roll, that due notice of <br />the time and place of hearing was given as required by law, that said <br />territory was uninhabited at the time said Resolution No. 60-145 was <br />adopted initiating this procedure; that said territory is contiguous <br />to the City of Santa Ana and that said territory shall not be taxed <br />to pay any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this <br />annexation. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County <br /> <br />of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at an angle point in the City boundary of the City <br />of Santa Aha, said angle point being on the intersection of the <br />West line of Old Tustin Avenue 60.00 feet wide, with a line <br />which is parallel with and 40 feet Northerly measured at right <br />angles, from the centerline of Seventeenth Street, said angle <br />point being 30.00 feet West and 40.00 feet North of the South- <br />west corner of Lot 13, Block B of the A. B. Chapman Tract as <br />surveyed by Frank Lecouvruer in December 1870 as shown on a <br />map of survey filed in Book 9, page 39, Records of Survey, <br />County of Orange, in the office of %he County Recorder, State <br />of California; running thence Northerly along said City boundary <br />and Northerly along a line parallel with and 30.00 feet Westerly, <br />measured at right angles, from the centerline of said Old Tustin <br />Avenue, 1940' more or less, to the Westerly extension of lthe <br />North line of the South half of Lot 12, Block "B" in J~id A. B. <br />Chapman Tract; thence Easterly along said North line and its <br />extensions 1382.58 feet more or less to a po~t 32.58 feet East <br />of the East line of said Lot 12; thence Southerly in a straight <br />line 660 feet more or less to.a point on the South line of Lot <br />11 in said Block "B", which is 33.56 feet East of the Southeast <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
