ORDINANCE NO. NS-508 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSI- <br />FICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 336 AND <br />AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 9-5-10 (EXHIBIT <br />AA 336 B) <br /> <br /> WHERKAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 336, initiated by <br />ROGER W. SCHIVELEY, for a change of District classification fro~ the <br />R-2 District to the C-1 District, and said Commission has determined <br />that the change of District classification should be from the R-2 <br />District to the C-5 District (the C-5 District being a more restric- <br />tive classification than the C-1 District); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does'now find that public necessity, convenience and general <br />welfare require the following amendment and that the use under the <br />new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property. <br /> <br />ORDAIN <br /> <br />comnty <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br /> <br />of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point where the center line of Fifth street <br />intersects the center line of Verano Street~ thence Northerly <br />along the center line of Verano Street for a distance of <br />330 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approxi- <br />mately parallel to the center line of Fifth Street for a <br />distance of 156 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along a <br />line approximately parallel to the center line of Verano <br />Street for a distance Of 330 feet, more or less, to the <br />center line of Fifth Street; thence Westerly along the center <br />line of Fifth Street for a distance of 156 feet, more or less, <br />to the point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the R-2 District to the C-5 District, and <br /> <br />Sectional District Map 9-5-10 (Exhibit AA 336 B) is hereby amended <br /> <br />to show said reclassification. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2.
