ORDINANCE NO. NS-533 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSI- <br />FICATION ON AMENDMENTAPPLICATION NO. 356 AND <br />AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 7-5-9 (EXHIBIT <br />AA 356 A) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 356, initiated by <br />MALCOM T. SEVERANCE for a change of District classification from the <br />R-1 and R-2 Districts to the C-5 District, and said Con~nission has <br />recommended denial of said Amendment Application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and <br />general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under <br />the new classification will ~not be detrimental to the surrounding <br />property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br /> <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br /> <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point on the center line of Grand Avenue, <br />located 748.6 feet, more or less, Southerly from the point <br />where the center line of Grand Avenue intersects the center <br />line of Seventeenth Street; thence Southerly, continuing <br />along the center line of Grand Avenue for a distance of <br />228 feet, more or less; thence Westerly, along a line <br />approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth <br />Street for a distance of 115 fee~ more or less; thence <br />Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center <br />line of Grand Avenue for a distance of 5 feet, more or less; <br />thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the <br />center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 100.5 <br />feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approxi- <br />mately parallel to the center line of Grand Avenue for a <br />distance of 60 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a <br />line approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth <br />Street for a distance of 114.5 feet, more or less; thence <br />Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center <br />line of Grand Avenue for a distance of 168 feet, more or less; <br />thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the <br />center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 330 feet, <br />more or less, to the point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the R-1 and R-2 Districts to the C-5 <br /> <br />District, and Sectional District Map 7-5-9 (Exhibit AA 356 A) is <br /> <br />hereby amended to show said reclassification. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
