ORDINANCE NO. NS-534 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSI- <br />FICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 358 AND <br />AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 11-5-10 (EXHIBIT <br />AA 358 A) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has,yen notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 358, initiated by <br />F. GERALD ENGLISH, for a change in District classification from the <br />R-1 District to the C-1 District, and said Commission has recommended <br />approval of said Amendment Application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The City Council regularly held a public hearing, on <br />notice, and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and <br />general welfare require the following amendment, and that the use <br />under the new classification will not be detrimental to surrounding <br />property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br /> <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br /> <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point on the Easterly boundary of the Santa <br />Aha River located 200 feet, more or less, Southerly from <br />the center line of Seventeenth Street; thence Easterly along <br />a line approximately parallel to the center line of Seven- <br />teenth Street for a distance of 570 feet, more or less, to <br />the Westerly boundary of King Street~ thence Southwesterly <br />continuing along the Westerly boundary of King Street to a <br />point located 235 feet, more or less, Southerly from the <br />center line of Seventeenth Street; thence Westerly along a <br />line approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth <br />Street for a distance of 572 feet, more or less, to the <br />Easterly boundary of the Santa Ana River; thence Northeasterly <br />continuing along the Easterly boundary of the Santa Aha River <br />to the point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the C-1 District and <br /> <br />Sectional District Map 11-5-10 (Exhibit AA 358 A) is hereby amended <br /> <br />to show said reclassification. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from <br />and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
