ORDINANCE NO. NS-5~ DECLARING THE ANNEXATION <br />OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SANTA CLARA AND LINCOLN - <br />N. E. ANNEX" <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did, on <br />August 21, 1961, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited <br /> <br />territory by Resolution No. 61-207, <br />larly published as required by law, <br />hearing to be held October 2, 1961, <br />held on said notice and on mailed notices <br /> <br />which said Resolution was regu- <br />and gave due notice of a public <br />which said hearing was regularly <br /> <br /> as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That after due hearing it finds and declares there <br />was no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described; <br />that due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said <br />territory was uninhabited at the time said Resolution No. 61-207 was <br />adopted initiating this proceeding and was and is contiguous to the <br />City of Santa Ana; and that said territory shall not be taxed to pay <br />any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. ffhat all of the territory situated in the County <br /> <br />of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of <br />Santa Clara Avenue and Lincoln Avenue, said intersection <br />being an angle point in the existing boundary of the City <br />of Santa Ana, California as established by Ordinance 73, <br />and running thence North along said centerline of Lincoln <br />Avenue and along said City boundary 801.90 feet to the <br />Northwest corner of that certain parcel of land described <br />in deed recorded June 16, 1943 in Book 1194, Page 335, <br />Official Records of Orange County, California, thence <br />East departing from said City boundary along the North <br />line of said land 799.92 feet to the Northeast corner of <br />said land; thence South along the East line of said land <br />801.90 feet to said centerline of Santa Clara Avenue and <br />to said City boundary as established by said Ordinance 73; <br />thence West along said center line of Santa Clara Avenue <br />and along said City boundary 799.92 feet to the point of <br />beginning, <br /> <br />be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Aha and to <br /> <br />Ward No. 1 in said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
