That Section 73.012 of said Plumbing Code is hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 73.012. ~.dministrative Authority and Assistants. <br /> <br /> Whenever the term "Administrative Authority" or <br />"Superintendent of Building Safety" is used in this <br />Code it shall be construed to mean the Director of <br />Building Safety or his authorized representative. <br /> <br />That Section 73.013 of said Plumbing Code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 73.013. Assistants. <br /> <br /> Whenever the term "Assistants" is used in this Code, <br />it shall be construed to mean the Inspectors designated <br />by the Director of Building Safety. <br /> <br />That Section 73.014 of said Plumbing Code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />S~c. 73.014. Department Havinq Jurisdiction. <br /> <br /> Unless otherwise provided for by law, the office of <br />the Administrative Authority shall be the Department of <br />Building Safety and Housing. <br /> <br />That Subsection (a) of Section 73.0111 of said Plumbing <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 73.0111. To Whom Permits May Be Issued. <br /> <br /> (a) No permit shall be issued to any person to do or <br />cause to be done any plumbing or drainage work regulated <br />by this Code, except to a person holding a valid unexpired <br />and unrevoked Plumbing Contractor's Certificate of <br />Qualification or Registration as required by Section <br />73.023, (UPC 2.3) except when and as otherwise hereinafter <br />provided in this Section; or any person, firm or corpora- <br />tion who holds a valid Contractor's license in the proper <br />classification, issued by the State of California to <br />perform such work. (Such person, firm or corporation may <br />be required to show proof of such license.) <br /> <br />That Section 73.159 of said Plumbing code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 73.159. Prohibited Locations. <br /> <br /> No water heater which depends on the combustion of fuel <br />for heat shall be installed in any room used or designed <br />to be used for sleeping purposes, bathroom, clothes closets, <br />or in any other closet or other confined space opening into <br />any bath or bedroom. <br /> Where not prohibited by other regulations, water heaters <br />may be located under a stairway and landing. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3.
