ORDINANCE NO. ~-5h9 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION <br />OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "TALBERT AND GREENVILLE <br />SOUTH ANNEX" <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did, on <br />September 18, 1961, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited <br />territory by Resolution No. 61-225, which said Resolution was regu- <br />larly published as required by law, and gave due notice of a public <br />hearing to be held November 6, 1961, which said hearing was regularly <br />held on said notice and on mailed notices as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That after due hearing it finds and declares there <br />was no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described; <br />that due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said <br />territory was uninhabited at the time said Resolution NO. 61--225 was <br />adopted initiating this proceeding and was and is contiguous to the <br />city of Santa Ana; and that said territory shall not be taxed to pay <br />any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County <br /> <br />of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the existing boundary of the <br />City of Santa Aha, California as established by Ordinance <br />NS-450, adopted by the City Council of said City of Santa <br />Aha on the 16th day of May 1960, said point being 373.50 <br />feet West and 25 feet South of the Southeast corner of <br />Lot 4 of the Williams Tract as shown on a map recorded in <br />Book 30, Page 14, Deeds, Miscellaneous Records of Los <br />Angeles County, California; and running thence South along <br />the West line of that certain parcel of land conveyed to <br />William T. Sturgis et ux. by deed recorded August 7, 1959, <br />in Book 483, Page 38, Official Records of Orange County <br />and along said City boundary 639.07 feet to the Southwest <br />corner of said land conveyed to William T. Sturgis and to <br />an angle point in said City boundary of santa Ana as <br />established by said Ordinance NS-450; thence East along <br />the South line of said land conveyed to William T. Sturgis <br />and along said City boundary 343.50 feet to a line parallel <br />with and 30 feet West, measured at right angles, from the <br />center line of Greenville Street and to an angle point in <br />said City boundary as established by said Ordinance NS-450; <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
