ORDINANCE NO. NS-550 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION <br />OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "VERANO AND ROBERTS <br />WEST ANNEX" <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did, on <br />September 18, 1961, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited <br />territory by Resolution No. 61-226, which said Resolution was regu- <br />larly published as required by law, and gave due notice of a public <br />hearing to be held November 6, 1961, which said hearing was regularly <br />held on'said notice and on mailed notices as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That after due hearing it finds and declares there <br />was no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described; <br />that due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said <br />territory was uninhabited at the time said Resolution No. 61-226 was <br />adopted initiating this proceeding andwas and is contiguous to the <br />city of Santa Ana; and that said territory shall not be taxed to pay <br />any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County <br /> <br />of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary <br />of the City of Santa Aha as established by Ordinance <br />NS-367 adopted March 23, 1959 by the City Council of <br />said City of Santa Aha, said angle point also being an <br />angle point in the existing boundary of the City of <br />Garden Grove as established by Ordinance No. 217 adopted <br />December 30, 1958, by the City Council of said City of <br />Garden Grove and certifie~by the Secretary of the State <br />of California January 29, 1959, said angle point being <br />in the center line of Verano Street distant thereon <br />N 0°41'40" W 1318.04 feet from the center line of <br />Smeltzer Avenue, said angle point being the Southeast <br />corner of the North half of the Southeast quarter of <br />Section 17, Township 5 South, Range 10 West, as shown on a <br />map recorded in Book 51, Page 12 of Miscellaneous Maps, <br />Records of the County of Orange, State of california; <br />thence S 88°09'20" W, along said existing boundary of the <br />City of Santa Aha ~nd along the South line of the North <br />half of said Southeast quarter, 1321.22 feet to the West <br />line of the East half of said Southeast quarter, and to <br />an angle point in said City boundary of Santa Aha as <br />established by said Ordinance NS-367; thence leaving said <br />ex~sting boundary as established by said Ordinance NS-367, <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
