ORDINkNCE NO, N$-552 REDUCING THE PRIMA FACIE SPEED L]~!T ON PORTIONS OF VERANO STRF~T, STANDARD ~ZENUE A~ RDING~ A~E THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ~ANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLO~.~: SECTION 1. That after an engineerdng and traffic su~ey and Council determination, and under authority contained in Sections 22357 and 2258 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, Subsection (e) of Section 3280 is added to the Santa Aha Municipal Code to read as follows: (e) "No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than 40 miles per hour on Verano Street between Westminster Boulevard and Hazard Avenue; nor at a speed greater than 35 miles per hour between MazardAvenue and Bolsa Avenue; nor at a speed greater than 40 md/es per hour between Bolsa Avenueand the South City Limits located 180 feet north of the center line of Edinger ~nue? SECTION 2. That after an engineering and traffic survey and Council determination, and under authority contained in Sections 22357 and 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, Subsection (q) of Section 3280 is added to the Santa Aha Municipal Code to read as follows: (q) "No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than 40 miles per hour on Standard Avenue between Wsrner Avenue and Edinger A~e~u~; nor at a speed ~reater than 35 miles per hour between Ed~ngerAv~nu~ and Chestnut Avenue." SECTION 3. That after an engineering and traffic survey Council determination, and %under authority contained in Sections 22357 and 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, Subsection (f) of Section 3280 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: (f)~o person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than 35 miles per hour on Edinger A~enme~ between Bristol Street and a poiut 500 feet West of Sullivan Slreet; nor at a speed greater than 45 miles per hour be- tween a point 500 feet west of Sullivan and the Sauta Aha City Limits at the Santa Ana River." SECTION ~. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of its adoption.
