Officers of the Police Department, or such officers as are assigned by the Chief of Police, are hereby authorized to direct all traffic by voice, signals or other devices in con- formance with traffic laws, provided that An the event of fire or other emergency, officers of the Police Department may direct traffic as conditions require, notwithstanding the provisions of the traffic laws. SECTION 3220.2. Same. Authority of Fire Department Officials. Officers of the Fire Department, while they are at the scene of a fire, in the course of their duties, protecting personnel or equilanent of the Fire Department, may direct or assist the Police in directing traffic. -2-
