ORDINANCE NO. NS-573 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 377 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 3-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 377A) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application NO. 377, initiated by ANDREW J. DAVIS, JR. for a change in District classification from the R-1 District to the C-1 District, and said Commission has recommended approval of said Amendment Application; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following amendment, and that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at a point located 179 feet, more or less, Northerly from the center line of Westminster Avenue and 196.9 feet, more or less, Easterly from the center line of Sydney Street; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Sydney Street for a distance of 151 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Westminster Avenue for a distance of 180 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Sydney Street for a distance of 151 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Westminster Avenue for a distance of 180 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the C-1 District, and Sectional District Map 3-5-10 (Exhibit AA 377A) is hereby amended to show said reclassification. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption. -1-
