SECTION 2255. Limitation on Vacation. <br /> <br /> No employee is granted and no employee shall be allowed <br />to take any vacation leave with pay in excess of thirty (30) <br />working days in any one year by any combination of the <br />vacations in these Rules and Regulations granted. <br /> <br />SECTION 2267. Holidays. <br /> <br /> Legal holidays observed by City employees shall be <br />January 1, February 22, May 30, July 4, the first Monday in <br />September, December 25, Good Friday from 12 noon to 3 P.M., <br />Thanksgiving Day and every day proclaimed by the Mayor as a <br />holiday for City employees. Any holiday which falls on <br />Sunday will be ~oserved on the following Monday. <br /> <br />SECTION 2268. Holidays, Shift Personnel. <br /> <br /> Full-time employees whose regularly scheduled days off are <br />other than Saturday and Sunday shall be entitled to holiday <br />benefits the day following a legal holiday which falls on <br />their second day off during the week. Fire Department <br />employees who are regularly at their place of work more than <br />forty hours during a week shall be entitled to six (6) work <br />shifts off during the year in lieu of holidays, to be <br />scheduled by the Fire Chief. Fire Department uniform personnel <br />working a 40-hour week and sworn police personnel who do not <br />take holidays as they occur, shall be entitled to twelve <br />working days off during the year in lieu of holidays, to be <br />scheduled by the department head. In the case of sworn police <br />personnel, five (5) of these days shall be taken in conjunction <br />with vacation to be scheduled by the department. Ail other <br />employees of City Departments who do not take holidays as they <br />occur, shall be entitled to seven (7) working days off during <br />the year in lieu of holidays, to be scheduled by the department <br />head. An employee entitled to time off in lieu of holidays <br />shall receive that time off in proportion to his service at <br />full pay in such capacity during the year. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2.
