ORDINANCE NO. NS-581 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO PREZONE AND ESTABLISH <br />DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION <br />NO. 386 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 17-5-9 <br />(EXHIBIT AA 386 A) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Cc~mission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 386, initiated by <br />LaVERNE VAN WYK JACOBS to prezone certain land not as yet annexed to <br />the City of Santa Aha and presently situated in the County of Orange, <br />and said Commission has recommended approval of said Amendment <br />Application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does now find that public necessity, convenience and general <br />welfare require the following amendment and that the use under the new <br />classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOEs <br /> <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That real property in the County of Orange, State <br /> <br />of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point where the center line of Lyon Street <br /> intersects the center line of Main Street (Tustin); thence <br /> Southerly along the center line of Lyon Street for a distance <br /> of 902.5 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line <br /> approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street <br /> (Tustin) for a distance of 431.4 feet, more or less; thence <br /> Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center <br /> line of Lyon Street for a distance of 902.5 feet, more or <br /> less, to the center line of Main Street (Tustin); thence <br /> Westerly along the center line of Main Street (Tustin) for <br /> a distance of 431.4 feet, more or less, to the point of <br /> beginning, <br /> <br />and presently classified as being in the Orange County A-1 District, <br />'is hereby prezoned as being of the City of Santa Ana's R-4 District, <br />and Sectional District Map 17-5-9 (E~hibit AA 386 A) is hereby amended <br />to show the establishment of this classification and prezoning.
