ORDINANCE NO. N8-596 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA ~ MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 392 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DIS- TRICT MAP 24-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 392 B) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 392 initiated by LOUIS J. CELLA, J~. for a change in District classification from the R-2 District to the R-3H District and said C~mission has recommend- ed that the change be made fro~ the R-2 District to the R-3B Dis- trict (the R-3B District being a more restrictive classification than the requested R3H District); and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on Notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the sur- rounding property. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California described as Beginning at a point where the center line of Wllshire Avenue intersects the center line of Sycamore Street; thence Easterly along the center line of Wilshire Avenue for a distance of 155.0 feet, more or less; thence South- erly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 292.4 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a line parallel to the center line of Wilshire Avenue for a distance of 155 feet, more or less, to the center line of sycamore Street; thence Northerly along the center line of sycamore Street for a distance of 292.4 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning is hereby reclassified from the R-2 to the R-3B District and Sec- tional District Map 24-5-10 (Exhibit AA 392 B) is hereby amended to show said reclassification. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after the date of its adoption.
