ORDINANCE NO. N_~S-608 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 409 <br />AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 18-5-9 <br />(EXHIBIT AA 409 A) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 409, initiated by <br />WILFRED H. CHARLTON for a change in District classification from the <br />M-1 District to the R-4 District, and said Co~mmission has recommended <br />approval of saidAmendment Application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and <br />general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under <br />the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding <br />property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That real property in the City of Santa Aha, <br /> <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point on the center line of Grant Street <br />located 244 feet, more or less, Easterly from that point <br />where the center line of Grant Street intersects the <br />center line of Standard Avenue; thence Easterly along a <br />line approximately parallel to the center line of Grant <br />Street for a distance of 386 feet, more or less, to the <br />Southern Pacific Railroad Right of Way; thence Northerly <br />along the southern Pacific Railroad Right of Way for a <br />distance of 1207 feet, more or less; thence Westerly <br />along a line approximately parallel to the center lane of <br />Grant Street for a distance of 386 feet, more or less; <br />thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel to <br />the center line of Standard Avenue for a distance of <br />1217 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the M-1 District to the R-4 District, and <br /> <br />Sectional District Map 18-5-9 (Exhibit AA 409 A) is hereby amended <br /> <br />to show said reclassification. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from <br />and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
