ORDINANCE NO. NS - 6~0 REGULATING SOLICITATION OF <br />PASSENGERS IN COMMON CARRIER TERMINALS <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Section 6388 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 6388. Solicitation of Passenqers. <br /> <br /> No driver shall solicit passengers for a taxicab except <br />when seated in the driver's compartment of such cab, or <br />while standing immediately adjacent to the curb side thereof, <br />and no taxicab shall park upon the street of the City while <br />the driver solicits passengers. <br /> No taxicab driver, or other person, shall solicit <br />patronage in the terminal of any other common carrier, or in <br />the streets within 100 feet of such terminal, or at any <br />regular pickup point of any other carrier without written <br />permission from the person operating such terminal or <br />carrier. No taxicab stand shall be provided upon the streets <br />of the city. <br /> No ambulance shall solicit passengers at the scene of any <br />accident unless the same has been summoned by telephonic <br />communication, and no ambulance shall go to the scene of any <br />accident by reason of monitoring shortwave police calls. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days <br />frcan and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> <br />Aha at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of November, <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />1962. <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
