ORDINANCE NO. NS-625 AMENDING PART 7 OF CHAPTER 2, <br />ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE BY <br />AMENDING SECTION 9270 RELATING TO SETBACK LINES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after public hearings before the Planning Commission <br />and the City Council on due notice, it was determined that certain <br />Setback Lines were no longer required and that the Zoning Ordinance <br />of 1960 should be amended to eliminate the unnecessary provisions. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That Section 9270 be and the same is hereby amended <br /> <br />to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 9270. Setback Lines Established. <br /> <br /> Setback Lines along the following streets and portions <br />of streets in the City are hereby established and re-estab- <br />lished, between which Setback Lines and which streets <br />respectively, no person shall erect or move in any building, <br />structure or thing, except that the construction or <br />maintenance of a wall, fence or hedge of no more than <br />four (4) feet in height between a Setback Line and the <br />street line shall not be prohibited by this Section if it <br />complies with other provisions of this Code. <br /> <br />The Setback Lines are located and described as follows: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />North Broadway, on both sides, from Tenth Street <br />to Santa Clara Avenue, 55 feet from and at right <br />angles to the survey center line of said Street. <br /> <br />North Flower Street, on both sides, from the <br />North line of Tract NO. 748 to the South line of <br />Santa Clara Avenue, 80 feet from and at right <br />angles to the survey center line of said Street. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />West Seventeenth Street, on the North side, from <br />Bristol Street West to a point 138.71 feet East <br />of the survey center line of Alona Street, 140 feet <br />North of and at right angles to the survey center <br />line of Seventeenth Street; and on the North side, <br />from Bristol Street to Baker Street, 60 feet from <br />and at right angles to the survey center line of <br />Seventeenth Street. <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />West First Street, on the North side, between Main <br />Street and Townsend Street, 42 feet from and at right <br />angles to the survey center line of First Street; on <br />the South side between Main Street and Daisy Street, <br />42 feet from and at right angles to the survey center <br />line of First Street; on the North side between <br />Townsend Street to the Santa Ana River, 55 feet from <br />and at right angles to the survey center line of <br />First Street; on the South side between Daisy Street <br />and the Santa Ana River, 55 feet from and at right <br />angles to the survey center line of First Street. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
