(5) <br /> <br />Public buildings and public utility buildings and <br />structures, including electric distribution and <br />transmission substations. <br /> <br />(6) Golf courses, excluding miniature golf course, pitch <br /> and putt course and driving range. <br /> <br />(7) Fire station. <br /> <br />(8) Day nursery, nursery school. <br /> <br />(9) Rest homes and convalescent homes. <br /> <br /> SECTION 5: That Section 9230.141 of the Santa Aha Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended by amending Sub-section (a) to read as follows: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Ail uses permitted in the R1, R2, and R3H Districts but <br />under the same restrictions and limitations as specified <br />in Sections governing same, except for regulations <br />pertaining to yards which shall be governed by the <br />P District. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6: That Section 9230.181 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended by adding thereto Sub-section (d) in words and <br />figures as follows: <br /> <br />(d) Temporary directional signs. <br /> <br /> SECTION 7: That Section 9230.262 of the Santa Aha Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended by amending Sub-section (c) to read as follows: <br /> <br /> (c) Where property within this District is to be used for <br />professional or c~saLsercial purposes and has a lot line in common <br />with any lot in a residential district there shall be erected a <br />solid masonry wall not less than six (6) feet high along all <br />such common lines. Where a wall of such height is prohibited by <br />this Chapter or any other ordinance the wall shall be the maximum <br />allowable height. Further, where an alley separates the property <br />in this District from property in a residential district said <br />block wall shall be erected along the property line abutting the <br />alley except at points of ingress/egress to the parking area. <br /> <br /> SECTION 8: That Section 9230.282 of the Santa Aha Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended by amending Sub-section (d) to read as follows: <br /> <br /> (d) Any permitted uses to be established on a lot in the <br />Mi District, the rear or side lot line of which abuts property <br />situated in any R District, shall be required to erect and <br />maintain a solid wall or fence not less than six (6) feet in <br />height along such rear or side lot line. <br /> <br /> SECTION 9: That Section 9243 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended by amending Item (1) of Sub-section (f) to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Cornices, eaves, chimneys, and similar architectural <br />features may extend into the required yards of the Al, <br />RE, and R1 Districts as follows: a distance not to <br />exceed forty-eight (48) inches into any required front, <br />rear and/or side yard of the street side of a corner <br />lot; and a distance not to exceed eighteen (18) inches <br />into any other required side yard. The aforesaid <br />architectural features may extend into the required <br />yards of the R2, R3, R3H, and P Districts as follows: <br />a distance not to exceed forty-eight (48) inches into <br />any required front, rear and/or side yard of the street <br />side of a corner lot; and a distance not to exceed <br />six (6) inches into any other required side yard. <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
