ORDINANCE NO. NS-636 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF <br />THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATIONS ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 425 <br />AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 14-5-10 <br />(EXHIBITS AA 425 B and AA 425 C) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held public hearings on Amendment Application No. 425, initiated by <br />GEORGE H. ROSE for a change in District classifications from the M-1 <br />and R-~ Districts to the C-2 and R-4 Districts, and said Commission <br />has recommended denial of said changes as requested, but has recom- <br />mended that the property involved be reclassified frcan the M-1 and <br />R-1 Districts to the C-2, R-4 and R-4B Districts in accordance with <br />Exhibit AA 425 B and Exhibit AA 425 C; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and <br />general welfare require the following amendments and that the uses <br />under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surround- <br />ing property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Parcel 1: Beginning at a point on the center line of First <br /> Street located 870.7 feet, more or less, Easterly frOm <br /> that point where the center line of First Street inter- <br /> sects the center line of Sullivan Street; thence Southerly <br /> along a line approximately parallel to the center line of <br /> Sullivan Street for a distance of 255 feet, more or less; <br /> thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the <br /> center line of First Street for a distance c~ 234.5 feet, <br /> more or less, to the Westerly boundary of a public drainage <br /> ditch; thence Northerly along the Westerly boundary of <br /> said public drainage ditch for a distance of 255 feet, <br /> more or less, to the center line of First Street; thence <br /> Westerly along the center line of First Street for a <br /> distance of 234.5 feet, more or less, to the point of <br /> beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the M-1 District to the C-2 District, and <br />Sectional District Map !4-5~10~(ExhibitAA~'425 B)i ~s~.hereb~ amended <br />toshow~aid'~eclaSsification. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Parcel 2: Beginning at a point on the center line of Sullivan <br /> Street located 631 feet, more or less, Southerly from that <br /> point where the center line of Sullivan Street intersects <br /> the center line of First Street; thence Southerly along the <br /> center line of Sullivan Street for a distance of 682.2 feet, <br /> more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately <br /> parallel to the center line of First Street for a distance <br /> of 1105.2 feet, more or less, to the Westerly boundary of <br /> a public drainage ditch; thence Northerly along the Westerly <br /> boundary of said public drainage ditch for a distance of <br /> 143.2 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a line <br /> approximately parallel to the center line of First Street <br /> for a distance of 740.2 feet, more or less; thence Northerly <br /> along a line approximately parallel to the center line of <br /> Sullivan Street for a distance of 300 feet, more or less; <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
