ORDINANCE NO. NS-637 AMENDING SECTION 7216 OF <br />THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has prohibited or restricted parking on <br />First Street between Townsend Street and Broadway to provide for a <br />freer flow of traffic in said area which will make it extremely <br />dangerous and very difficult to back on to First Street, and businesses <br />along said Street should provide for circulation within their properties <br />so that cars can drive forward into the traffic flow of First Street to <br />protect the public life and health and safety of traffic on entering <br />said area. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Section 7216 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof a new sub-section in <br />words and figures, as follows: <br /> <br />" E. The provisions of sub-section C. (a) and (b) hereof <br />shall not apply to West First Street between Broadway and <br />Townsend Street, and, in lieu of said provisions, said area <br />shall be regulated by the following provisions: <br /> <br />Width of Property fronting on West <br />First Street between Broadway and <br />Townsend Street under single <br />ownership <br /> <br />Maximum No. <br />of Driveways <br /> <br />(al) Less than 49 feet One <br /> <br />(b2) 49 feet to 199 feet Two <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from <br />and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Aha at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of February, 1963. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
