ORDINANCE NO. NS-650 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "EAST FIRST STREET ANNEX NO. 1" WHEREAS, on March 4, 1963, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory by Resolution No. 63-39, which said Resolution was regularly published as required by law and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held April 15, 1963, which hearing was regularly held; and after final adjournment of said hearing on protests, it was found and declared by Resolution No. 63-60 that a majority protest had not been made. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory hereinbelow described, was uninhabited at the time Resolution No. 63-39 was adopted initiating this proceeding, was contiguous to the City of Santa Ana and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation. SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and described as: Beginning at the Northwest corner of the East half of Block "C" of the Stafford and Tustin Tract as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 2, Pages 618 and 619 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, said corner being a point on the existing boundary of the City of Santa Ana, said corner being on the Southl tine of First Street, said South line being 33 feet South, measured at right angles, from the center line of First Street, said corner being Easterly 1378.00 feet, more or less, from the Southerly extension of the center line of Mabury Street, measured along said South line and running thence North 89° 32' 45" East along said South line and along said existing City boundary 338.25 feet, more or less, to the Northeast comner of said Lot C; thence, departing from said City boundary South 0° 27' 15" East along the East line of said Lot C 1120.11 feet, more or less, to the North line of that certain property conveyed to the State of California by deed recorded July 12, 1954 in Book 2768, Page 59 of Official Records of Orange County, California; thence, North 68° 41' 16" West along said North line 364.22 feet, more or less, to the West line of the East half of said Lot C; thence, North 0" 27' 15" West along said West line of the East half of said Lot c, 985.05 more or less, to the point of beginning, feet be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Aha and to Ward NO. 1 in said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Aha City - 1957 and 1958Annexes" SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption.
