ORDINANCE NS-658 ~ENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO PREZONE AND <br />ESTABLISH DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON ~ENDMENT <br />APPLICATION NO. 439 AND~ENDING SECTIONAL <br />DISTRICT ~P 4-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 439 A) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 439, filed by <br />PERYL ASHTON, ALFRED L. PRIESS and SOPHIE PRIESS to prezone to the <br />c-4 and R-4 Districts certain land not as yet annexed to the City of <br />Santa Ana and presently situated in the County of Orange A-1 <br />District, and said Commission has recommended denial of said <br />Amendment Application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and <br />general welfare require the following amendment, and that the use <br />under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the <br />surrounding property. <br /> <br /> NOW, T~EREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the County of Orange, <br />State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Parcel 1: Beginning at that point where the center line <br />of Tustin Avenue intersects the center line of Santa Clara <br />Avenue; thence Northerly along the center line of Tustin <br />Avenue for a distance of 660 feet, more or less; thence <br />Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center <br />line of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of 330 feet, more <br />or less; thence Southerly along a line approximately <br />parallel to the center line of Tustin Avenue for a distance <br />of 660 feet, more or less, to the center line of Santa <br />Clara Avenue; thence Westerly along the center line of <br />Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of 330 feet, more or less, <br />to the point of beginning, <br /> <br />and presently classified as being in the County of Orange A~i <br />District, is hereby prezoned to the City of Santa Ana CD District, <br />and Sectional District Map 4-5-9 is hereby amended to show the <br />establishment of this classification and prezoning according to <br />Exhibit AA 439 A. Said prezoning and classification shall become <br />effective whensoever in the future any of the hereinabove described <br />property is annexed to the City of Santa Aha. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That the real property in the County of Orange <br />State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Parcel 2: Beginning at a point on the center line of Santa <br />Clara Avenue located 330 feet, more or less, Westerly from <br />that point where the center line of Santa Clara Avenue <br />intersects the center line of Tustin Avenue; thence Northerly <br />along a line approximately parallel to the center line of <br />Tustin Avenue, said line being the Easterly boundary of <br />Parcel 1 hereinabove described, for a distance of 660 feet, <br />more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately <br />parallel to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a <br />distance of 990.3 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along <br />a line approximately parallel to the center line of Tustin <br />Avenue for a distance of 574.6 feet, more or less, to the <br />Newport Freeway Right of Way; thence Southwesterly along the <br />Newport Freeway Right of Way for a distance of 564.8 feet, <br />more or less; thence Southerly along a line parallel to the <br />center line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 50 feet, more <br />or less, to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue; thence <br />along the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance <br />of 426.9 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, <br /> <br /> <br />
