ORDINANCE NS-659 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 440 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 5-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 440 A) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 440, filed by THOMAS R. and JEAN COUGHLIN for a change in District classification from the A-1 District to the R-4 District, and said Commission has recommended approval of saidAmendment Application; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following amendment, and that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at a point on the Santa Ana City Boundary located 676 feet, more or less, Northerly from the center line of Seventeenth Street and 634.6 feet, more or less, Easterly from the center line of Sherry Street; thence Northerly along the Santa Aha City Boundary for a distance of 637.4 feet, more or less; thence Westerly, continuing along the Santa Ana City Boundary for a distance of 664.6 feet, more or less; thence Southerly, departing from the Santa Ana City Boundary, and running along the Northerly extension of the Westerly boundary of Sherry Street for a distance of 634.1 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 664.6 feet, more or less, to the Santa Aha City Boundary and the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the R-4 District, and Sectional District Map 5-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 440 A.
