ORDINANCE NS-660 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENTAPPLICATION <br />NO. 441 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP <br />7-5-9 (EJ~{IBIT AA 441 A) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 441, filed by <br />LAURENCE E. MELTON for a change in District classification from the <br />R-2 and R-3 Districts to the C-5 District, and said Commission <br />recommended denial of said reclassification; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does now find that the Planning Commission should be <br />overruled; that public necessity, convenience and general welfare <br />require the following amendment, and that the use under the new <br />classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at that point where the center line of <br />Seventeenth Street intersects the center line of Santiago <br />Street; thence Easterly along the center line of <br />Seventeenth Street for a distance of 512 feet, more or <br />less; thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel <br />to the center line of Fairmont Street for a distance of <br />174.5 feet, more or less, to the center line of an alley; <br />thence Westerly along the center line of said alley for <br />a distance of 515.2 feet, more or less, to the center <br />line of Santiago Street; thence Northerly along the <br />center line of Santiago Street for a distance of 190 feet, <br />more or less, to the point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified frc~ the R-2 and R-3 Districts to the C-5 <br />District, and Sectional District Map 7-5-9 is hereby amended to <br />show said reclassification according to Exhibit AA 441 A. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Aha at it's regular meeting held on the 17th day of June, 1963. <br /> <br />ATTEST: ~ ' ~ <br />CLE~ OF THE CO~CIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> I, DORIS M.
