ORDINANCE NS-664 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF
<br />TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SEVENTEENTH AND TUSTIN
<br />NORTHWEST ANNEX"
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, on May 6th, 1963, the City Council of the City of
<br />Santa Aha declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory
<br />by Resolution No. 63-80, which said Resolution was regularly
<br />published as required by law and gave notice of a protest hearing
<br />to be held June 17th, 1963, which hearing was regularly held; and
<br />after final adjournment of said hearing on protests it was found
<br />and declared by Resolution 63-106 that a majority protest had not
<br />been made.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
<br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br /> SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory
<br />hereinbelow described was uninhabited at the time Resolution
<br />No. 63-80 was adopted initiating this proceeding, was contiguous
<br />to the City of Santa Aha, and shall not be taxed to pay any
<br />indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation.
<br />
<br /> SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County
<br />of Orange, State of California, and described as:
<br />
<br />Commencing at the intersection of the Southerly prolongation
<br />of the East line of Tract No. 3992, a map of which is
<br />recorded in Book 145, Page 6, Miscellaneous Maps, Records
<br />of Orange County, California, with the center line of
<br />East 17th Street, said point being on the Southwest corner
<br />of the Southeast Quarter of Section 5, in Township 5 South,
<br />Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence
<br />North 40.00 feet at right angles from said center line of
<br />17th Street, to a point on the North line of said 17th
<br />Street, said point also being an angle point in the City
<br />boundary of the City of Santa Aha, as established by
<br />Ordinance No. NS-494, and the true point of beginning;
<br />and running thence along said city boundary North
<br />0* 17' 25" West 1,273.40 feet along the West line of the
<br />Southeast Quarter of said Section 5, to a point on the
<br />South line of Lot 9, Block "A", of the A. B. Chapman
<br />Tract as surveyed by Frank Lecouveur in 1870, as shown on
<br />a map recorded in Book 102, Page 15 of Miscellaneous Maps,
<br />Records of said Orange County, and to an angle point in
<br />said city boundary; thence North 89° 27' 46" West 664.63
<br />feet along said lot line and along said city boundary to
<br />the Southwest corner of said Lot 9, and to an angle point
<br />in said city boundary, as established by Ordinance Nos.
<br />NS-494 and NS-576; thence, North O0° 11' 30" East, 272.42
<br />feet along said city boundary to the North line of that
<br />certain 11.17 acre parcel of land as shown on a map of
<br />survey recorded in Book 8, Page 9, Record of Surveys in
<br />the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County,
<br />and to an angle point in said city boundary as established
<br />by Ordinance No. NS-576; thence West 415.00 feet, more or
<br />less, along said city boundary to the West line of that
<br />certain parcel of land conveyed by Frank C. Latham et ux
<br />to Eddy Meridith by deed recorded June 7, 1961, in
<br />Book 5746, Page 388, Official Records of said Orange County,
<br />and to an angle point in said city boundary, as established
<br />by Ordinance No. NS-576; thence, North 1,073 feet, more or
<br />less, along said West line and its Northerly extension, and
<br />along said city boundary to the North line of Santa Clara
<br />Avenue, said North line being 25.00 feet Northerly measured
<br />
