ORDINANCE NS-672 AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO THE <br />CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AND THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION <br />OF THE CALIFORNIA STATE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT <br />SYSTEM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, heretofore, the City of Santa Aha entered into <br />a contract providing for participation in the State Employees' <br />Retirement System, and it has now decided to amend the same. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That an amendment to the contract now existing <br />between the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, and <br />the BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION, CALIFORNIA STATE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT <br />SYSTEM is hereby authorized to include in said contract the <br />provisions of Government Code Section 20804.5 and to provide for <br />amendment to Sub-paragraph 8 of said contract, a copy of said <br />amendment being attached hereto, marked "E)G~IBIT A", and by such <br />reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the Council are <br />hereby authorized, empowered and directed to execute and attest, <br />respectively, said amendment for and on behalf of said City and <br />the City Council thereof. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty <br />days from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> SECTION 4: That the amendment to the contract herein <br />provided for shall take effect on the 1st day of September, 1963. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of July, 1963. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
