ORDINANCE NS-693 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION <br />NO. 470 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP <br />7-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 470 B) WHERE THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION RECOMMENDED DENIAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Cc~mission has given notice of and <br />duly held public hearings on Amendment Application No. 470, filed <br />by DICK A. HORTON for a change in District classification from <br />the R~2 District to the CM District, and said Planning Commission <br />has recommended Denial of said change; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing <br />on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience <br />and general welfare require that the Planning Commission be over- <br />ruled, that the property in question be reclassified from the <br />R-2 District to the C-M District, and that the use under the new <br />classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point on the center line of Hathaway Street <br />located 158 feet, more or less, northerly frown that point <br />where the center line of First Street intersects the <br />center line of Hathaway Street; thence easterly along a <br />line approximately parallel to the center line of First <br />Street for a distance of 180 feet, more or less; thence <br />northerly along a line approximately parallel to the <br />center line of Hathaway Street for a distance of 600 feet, <br />more or less; thence westerly along a line approximately <br />parallel to the center line of Fourth Street for a <br />distance of 360 feet, more or less; thence southerly along <br />a line approximately parallel to the center line of <br />Hathaway Street for a distance of 600 feet, more or less; <br />thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the <br />center line of First Street for a distance of 180 feet, <br />more or less, to the center line of Hathaway Street and <br />the point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the R-2 District to the CM District, <br />and Sectional District Map 7-5-9 is hereby amended to show said <br />reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 470 B. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of November, 1963. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
