ORDINANCE NS-696 DECLARING TH~ ANNEXATION OF
<br />TERRITORY DESIGNATED "IRVINE'S SUBDIVISION
<br />ANNEX NO. 1 - REVISED'.'

<br /> WHEREAS, on September 16, 1963, the City Council of the
<br />City of Santa Ana declared its intention to annex uninhabited
<br />territory by Resolution 63-158, which said Resolution was regu-
<br />larly published as required by law and gave notice of a protest
<br />hearing to be held November 4, 1963, which hearing was regularly
<br />held; after final adjournment of said hearing on protests, it
<br />was ~ound and declared by Resolution 63-168 that a majority
<br />protest had not been made.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
<br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br /> SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory
<br />hereinbelow describedwas uninhabited at the time Resolution 63-158
<br />was adopted initiating this proceeding; was contiguous to the City
<br />of Santa Aha, and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the
<br />City existing at the time of this annexation.
<br />
<br /> SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County
<br />of Orange, State of California, described as:
<br />
<br />Beginning at an angle point in the Santa Aha City boundary,
<br />established as the Northeast corner of land annexed to
<br />Santa Aha by Ordinance No. NS-64, said point being at the
<br />intersection of the center line of Dyer Road with the West
<br />line of the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way as con-
<br />veyed to the Santa Aha B~ilroad by deed recorded in Book 13,
<br />page 9, Deeds, Records of Orange County, California, said
<br />center line of Dyer Road being on the South line of the
<br />Northwest Quarter (N.W.%) of Section 30, Township 5 South,
<br />Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence
<br />departing frc~ said City boundary North 1° 44' 42" East,
<br />50.00 feet to a line parallel with and distant Northerly
<br />50.00 feet, measured at right angles frc~ said center line
<br />of Dyer Road; thence along said parallel line South 88° 15'
<br />18" East, 660 feet, more or less, to an angle point in land
<br />conveyed to the State of California by deed recorded in
<br />Book 6049, page 720, Official Records of said Orange County;
<br />thence North 66° 11' 53" East, 45.11 feet to a line parallel
<br />with and distant Northwesterly 237 feet, measured at right
<br />angles, frc~ the North-west line of Irvine's Subdivision, as
<br />shown on a map recorded in Book 1, page 88 of Miscellaneous
<br />Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said Orange
<br />County, said Northwest line being on the center line of
<br />Newport Avenue; thence along last said parallel line North
<br />40° 39' 12" East 247.35 feet; thence South 88° 15' 18" East
<br />350 feet, more or less, to a point in the Southeast line of
<br />Newport Avenue, said Southeast line being 30 feet South-
<br />easterly, measured at right angles frc~ the center line of
<br />Newport Avenue; thence along said parallel line North 40°
<br />39' 12" East, 1,918 feet, more or less, to an angle point in
<br />land conveyed to the State of California by deed recorded
<br />in Book 6009, page 427, Official Records of said Orange
<br />County; thence along the boundaries of said land described
<br />in said last mentioned deed, the following five courses,
<br />South 49° 20' 48" East, 16 feet to a point on a line that
<br />is 46 feet Southeasterly, measured at right angles, from
<br />the center line of Newport Avenue; thence along said last
<br />mentioned parallel line, North 40~ 39' 12" East, 950 feet;
<br />thence South 67~ 34' 11" East, 372.71 feet; thence South
<br />58~ 06' 37" East, 328.17 feet; thence North 40~ 39' 12" East,
