ORDINANCE NS-716 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SABVCA A~A MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 484 <br />AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 6-5-9 <br /> (EXHIBIT AA 484 A) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and <br />duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 484, filed <br />by GRACE CONKLIN for a change in District classification from the <br />R-1 District to the C-5 District to provide c~.,ercial zoning for <br />the construction of a "sectional center" for collection and distri- <br />bution of all intra-County mail, including a pedestrian substation <br />and offices by the United States Post Office Department; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said Planning Commission has recommended approval <br />of said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 484 A and <br />that if a change in plans occurs and the Post Office Department <br />does not commit their Department to a lease on this parcel that the <br />parcel shall be rezoned from C-5 to R-i; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has regularly held a public hearing <br />on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience <br />and general welfare require the following amendment and that the use <br />under the new classification will not be detrimental to the <br />surrounding area. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the center line of Grand Avenue <br /> located 339.2 feet, more or less, southerly from that <br /> point where the center line, of Grand Avenue intersects the <br /> center line of Santa Clara Avenue; thence easterly along a <br /> line approximately parallel to the center line of Santa <br /> Clara Avenue for a distance of 633.7 feet, more or .less; <br /> thence souther~ along a line approximately parallel to the <br /> center line of Grand Avenue for a distance of 310.0 feet, <br /> more or less; thence westerly along a line approximately <br /> parallel to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a <br /> distance of 633.3 feet, more or less, to the center line <br /> of Grand Avenue; thence northerly along the center line of <br /> Grand Avenue for a distance of 310.0 feet, more or less, <br /> to the point of beginning, <br />is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the C-5 District and <br />Sectional District Map 6-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassi- <br />fication in accordance with Exhibit AA 484A. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Aha at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of February, 1964. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
