(4) <br /> <br />(5) <br /> <br />(6) <br /> <br />(7) <br /> <br />Director of Finance and canceled and neither the licensee <br />named nor the holder thereof shall thereafter be entitled <br />to hold a license under the provisions of this section. <br /> <br />The licensee named must identify himself by his signature <br />whenever required to do so by any police officer or any <br />authorized agent of the Director of Finance. <br /> <br />Every license issued under the provisions of this section <br />shall expire thirty (30) days frc~ and after the date of <br />issuance and a new license may thereafter be issued <br />pursuant to the provisions of this section. <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for any person other than the <br />licensee named to use or have in his possession any <br />license issued pursuant to the provisions of this section. <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to purchase or <br />transfer any license issued pursuant to the provisions of <br />this section ~"or for any person to transfer or convey the <br />certificates mentioned in this section to any other person <br />for the purpose of securing a license as herein provided. <br /> <br />SECTION 6116.3. Exemption - CharitabLe and Non-Profit Orqanizations <br /> The provisions of this Chapter shall not be construed to <br />require the payment of a license fee to conduct any business, <br />occupation or activity or require the payment of any license fee <br />from any institution or organization, which is conducted wholly <br />for the benefit of charitable purposes and from which profit is <br />not derived either directly or indirectly by any individual, nor <br />shall any license be required for the conducting of any entertain- <br />ment, concert, exhibition or lecture on scientific, historical, <br />literary, religious or moral subjects whenever the receipts of <br />any such entertainment, concert, exhibition or lecture are to be <br />appropriated to any church or school or to any religious or <br />benevolent purpose within the City; provided, however, that such <br />exemption shall not be construed to extend to such persons, <br />businesses, corporations, and organizations who, in the performance <br />of such business, occupation or activity, receive a fee, wage, <br />stipend, salary, emolument, remuneration, compensation, hire or <br />pay. Such persons, businesses, corporations and organizations <br />are subject to the applicable business license tax provisions of <br />this Article. The aforementioned charitable institutions or <br />organizations will deduct the appropriate business license tax <br />from the monies conveyed for services rendered and shall cause the <br />same to be conveyed to the Director of Finance of the City prior <br />to the aforementioned business, occupation or activity being <br />undertaken. <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Volunteer workers receiving no remunerations whatsoever are <br />exempt from the business license tax provisions of this <br />Section. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Employees or servitors of churches within the City are exempt <br />from the business license tax for the services or activities <br />so perfOrmed. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />The City Council may, at its discretion, exempt from the <br />business license tax those persons receiving a fee, wage, <br />etc., as provided in this Section, when such business or <br />activity is performed for or sponsored by a charitable <br />organization or institution which has received a permit <br />for charitable solicitation within the City.
