ORDINANCE NS-719 AMENDING SECTIONS 6333, 6335 <br />AND 6336 AND REPEALING SECTION6338 OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE REGULATING POOL HALLS <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Sections 6333, 6335 and 6336 of Part 3, <br />Chapter 3, Article VI of the Santa Aha Municipal Code are hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 6333. Entrance Open. Minors. <br /> The entrance to every room as defined in Section 6330 <br />shall be open and unobstructed to all peace officers and <br />members of the public, except that no minor under the <br />age of 18 years shall be permitted to enter, visit, <br />loiter or engage in any of said games except as provided <br />for in Section 6335. <br /> <br />Section 6335. Where Minor May Enter. <br /> When any room or place is maintained where games of <br />billiards, pool or bagatelle are conducted for profit, <br />which said room or place is a part and portion of a <br />business affording amusement or recreation games for <br />which a fee is charged, and which said room or place <br />occupies not more than 10% of the total floor space area <br />devoted to such games, and which business primarily <br />provides for family recreation and amusement regularly <br />affording play to husbands and wives, minors under the <br />age of 18 years, if accompanied by a parent or guardian, <br />may be permitted to enter the room where billiards, pool <br />or bagatelle are offered to the public and may be <br />permitted to play at such games. <br /> <br />Section 6336. Buildinq Restriction Modified. <br /> Any room or place which meets the requirements of <br />Section 6335 next above need not co~ply with the require- <br />ment in Section 6330 which requires the area where said <br />games are played to be entirely inaccessible from other <br />rooms, but said games shall be at all times open to public <br />view and any partitions between said area and other game <br />areas shall be ~ot~less~than 50% transparent glass between <br />a point 3 feet above the floor and 6 feet above the floor. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That Section 6338 of Part 3, Chapter 3, Article VI <br />of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of February , 1964. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
