ORDINANCE NS-721 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 485 <br />AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAPS 25-5-10 <br />AND 36-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 485 A) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and <br />duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 485, filed <br />by YORBA INVESTME~£ COMPANY for a change in District classification <br />from the A-1 District to the R-1 District, and said Commission has <br />recommended approval of said reclassification; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and <br />general welfare require the following amendment and that the use <br />under the new classification will not be detrimental to the <br />surrounding area. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at that point where the southerly boundary <br />line of the Pacific Electric Railway right of way <br />intersects the westerly boundary line of the Orange <br />County Flood Control Channel; thence southerly along <br />along the westerly boundary line of said Flood Control <br />Channel for a distance of 3655.8 feet, more or less, <br />to a point located 1131.6 feet, more or less, northerly <br />from the center line of Sunflower Avenue; thence <br />westerly along a line approximately parallel to the <br />center line of Sunflower Avenue for a distance of <br />573.5 feet, more or less; thence northerly along a line <br />approximately parallel to the westerly boundary line of <br />said Orange County Flood Control Channel for a distance <br />of 3331.6 feet, more or less, to the southerly boundary <br />of the Pacific Electric Railway right of way; thence <br />northeasterly along the southerly boundary of the <br />Pacific Electric Railway right of way for a distance of <br />660.2 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the R-1 District, <br />and Sectional District Maps 25-5-10 and 36-5-10 are hereby amended <br />to show said reclassification. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of April, 1964. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
