ORDINANCE NS-724 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DIS'rRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION ON A~IENDME~k APPLICATION 465 <br />AND Ab~ING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 5-5-9 <br /> (EXHIBIT AA 465 B) WHERE THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION RECOI~4ENDED DENIAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 465, filed by <br />EDDY MEREDITH for a change in District classification from the A-1 <br />District to the R-3 District, and said Commission has recommended <br />DENIAL of said reclassification; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing <br />on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience <br />and general welfare require that the westerly portion of the property <br />in question should remain A-1 but that that portion described herein- <br />below should be reclassified from the A-1 District to the <br />District, which is a more restrictive classification than R-3, and <br />that the use under the new classification will not be detrimental <br />to the surrounding area. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: %gat the real property in the City of Santa Aha, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point on the center line of Santa Clara Avenue <br />located 1160.94 feet, more or less, westerly from that point <br />where the center line of Santa Clara Avenue intersects the <br />center line of Tustin Avenue; thence westerly along the <br />center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of 544 feet, <br />more or less; thence southerly along a line approximately <br />parallel to the center line of Tustin Avenue for a distance <br />of 237 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line <br />approximately parallel to the center line of Santa Clara <br />Avenue for a distance of 120.7 feet, more or less; thence <br />southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center <br />line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 1099.8 feet, more or <br />less; thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to <br />the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of <br />664.6 feet, more or less; thence northerly along a line <br />approximately parallel to the center line of Tustin Avenue for <br />a distance of 435.1 feet, more or less; thence westerly along <br />a line approximately parallel to the center line of Santa <br />Clara Avenue for a distance of 135 feet, more or less; thence <br />northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center <br />line of Tustin Avenue for a distance of 150.2 feet, more or <br />less; thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to <br />the center line of Santa Clara Avenue for a distance of <br />131.4 feet, more or less; thence northerly along a line <br />approximately parallel to the center line of Tustin Avenue for <br />a distance of 751.7 feet, more or less, to the center line of <br />Santa Clara Avenue and the point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the A-1 District to the R-4 District, <br />and Sectional District Map 5-5-9 is hereby amended to show said <br />reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 465 B. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
