ORDINANCE NS-726 ~ENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 491 <br />AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT ~P 7-5-9 <br />(EXHIBIT AA 491 A) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 491, filed by <br />WALTER L. WEST for a change in District classification from the <br />R-3 District to the P District, and said Commission has recommended <br />approval of said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit A; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and <br />general welfare require the following amendment and that the use <br />under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding <br />property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at that point where the center line of Washington <br /> Avenue intersects the center line of French Street; thence <br /> easterly along the center line of Washington Avenue for a <br /> distance of 264.5 feet, more or less; thence northerly along <br /> a line approximately parallel to the center line of French <br /> Street for a distance of 170 feet, more or less; thence <br /> westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center <br /> line of Washington Avenue for a distance of 264.5 feet, <br /> more or less, to the center line of French Street; thence <br /> southerly along the center line of French Street for a <br /> distance of 170 feet, more or less, to the center line of <br /> Washington Avenue and the point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the R-3 District to the P District, and <br />Sectional District Map 7-5-9 is hereby amended to show said reclassi- <br />fication in accordance with E~hibit AA 491 A. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days <br />from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of April, 1964. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
