ORDINANCE NS-727 ~MENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATIOk~ON ~MENDMENT APPLICATION 492 <br />AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 24-5-10 <br />(EXHIBIT AA 492 B) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly <br />held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 492, filed by <br />ARCHDIOCESE OF LOS ANGELES EDUCATION AND WELFARE CORPORATION, a <br />California corporation, for a change in District classification from <br />the R-2 District to the C-5 District, and said Commission has recom- <br />mended approval of said change according to Exhibit B which provides <br />for 90 feet of R-2B zoning along the easterly and southerly boundaries <br />of the property being rezoned; and <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on <br />notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and <br />general welfare require the following amendments and that the use <br />under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the <br />surrounding property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: rl~nat the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Parcel 1: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point on the center line of Edinger Avenue <br />located 190 feet, more or less, easterly from that point <br />where the center line of Edinger Avenue intersects the <br />center line of Bristol Street; thence easterly along the <br />center line of Edinger Avenue for a distance of 381 feet, <br />more or less; thence southerly along a line approximately <br />parallel to the center line of Baker Street for a distance <br />of 1235 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line <br />approximately parallel to the center line of St. Andrew <br />Place for a distance of 571 feet, more or less, to the <br />center line of Bristol Street; thence northerly along the <br />center line of Bristol Street for a distance of 820 feet, <br />more or less; thence easterly along a line approximately <br />parallel to the center line of Edinger Avenue for a <br />distance of 190 feet, more or less; thence northerly along <br />a line approximately parallel to the center line of <br />Bristol Street for a distance of 410 feet, more or less, <br />to the point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the R-2 District to the C-5 District, and <br />Sectional District Map 24-5-10 is hereby amended to show said reclas- <br />sification in accordance with Exhibit AA 492 B. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />CoUnty of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Parcel 2: <br /> <br />Beginning at that point on the center line of Edinger <br />Avenue located 90 feet, more or less, westerly from that <br />point where the center line of Edinger Avenue intersects <br />the center line of Baker Street; said point being the <br />northeast corner of Parcel 1 hereinabove described; thence <br />southerly along the easterly boundary of said Parcel 1 and <br />along a line approximately parallel to the center line of <br />Baker Street for a distance of 1235 feet, more or less; <br />thence westerly along the southerly boundary of said <br />Parcel 1 and along a line approximately parallel to the <br />center line of St. Andrew Place for a distance of 571 feet, <br />more or less, to the center line of Bristol Street; thence <br />southerly along the center line of Bristol Street for a <br />distance of 90 feet, more or less; thence easterly along <br /> <br /> <br />
