ORDINANCE NS-729 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 494 <br />AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 6-5-9 <br /> (EXHIBIT AA 494 A) WHERE THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION RECOMMENDED DENIAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and <br />duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 494, filed <br />by JOHN and VERA B. ROHRS for a change in District classification <br />from the R-1 District to the R-4 District and said Commission has <br />recommended DENIAL of said reclassification; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing <br />on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience <br />and general welfare require the following amendment and that the <br />use under the new classification will not be detrimental to the <br />surrounding property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the center line of Santiago Avenue, <br /> said point being located 146 feet, more or less, southerly <br /> from that point where the center line of Santiago Avenue <br /> intersects the center line of Catalina Avenue; thence <br /> southerly along the center line of Santiago Avenue for a <br /> distance of 678 feet, more or less; thence easterly along <br /> a line approximately parallel to the center line of <br /> Seventeenth Street for a distance of 669 feet, more or <br /> less; thence northerly along a line approximately parallel <br /> to the center line of Santiago Avenue for a distance of <br /> 678 feet, more or less; thence westerly along a line <br /> approximately parallel to the center line of Catalina <br /> Avenue for a distance of 669 feet, more or less, to the <br /> center line of Santiago Avenue and the point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-4 District, <br />and Sectional District Map 6-5-9 is hereby amended to show said <br />reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 494 A. <br /> SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty <br />days from and after the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Aha at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of June, 1964. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> I, DORIS M.
